Relationship
I was speaking with a co-worker on yesterday, she has just met someone (online). They have been talking for months by phone and she really likes him, and he likes her, he makes her literally glow from within and giggle. I don’t think I have seen her so happy, and I concluded, well we both did, that everyone needs someone. Even if it’s just a friend to take you to dinner, bounce off ideas, make each other laugh, make you feel special, and to just have someone that you can confide in. As we continued to talk, I told her that if you go back to the story of Adam in the Bible he had everything at his fingertips, but GOD with his infinite wisdom seen and felt that something was still lacking. Guess what he made? WOMAN, a companion, a partner, a lover, and a friend. Adam was then ecstatic.
I also shared with her that I went to one of my many meet-up groups last year about life-long happiness. We watched a video on true happiness. There was a study done, the longest study ever done, where a group of men were followed throughout their life from a baby until 70 ‘s or 80’s. It was discovered that true happiness didn’t come from money or material things, but healthy relationships. I found that to be so interesting! Moral of the story, healthy lasting relationships are so very important. I would love to hear your thoughts and opinions!
